About our Speakers: Mike and Susie Harris lead Ignite Ministries which for the last 30 years been preaching the gospel and seeing many saved, healed and set free by the power of the gospel. More recently the Lord has called them to reach Shropshire and beyond with the gospel to make disciples, plant churches, and strengthen the local church. Summary of October Fellowship Meeting:
At our October fellowship we were blessed to have Rev. Mark Lawrence from Freedom Church Market Drayton share with us on the subject of Christians being 'Salt and Light' in our communities. Carloyn Lawrence then shared how doors are opening in the community and this allows the gospel to be shared. Later, there was prayer for people to receive the blessed Holy Spirit (John 16:7,13-15; Eph.1:13; Acts 1:5; 9:17; 10:44-48; 11:16; 19:1-6).
Two other themes developed:
1. The Unity found in the Godhead brings with it a weight of glory, and this glory when seen amongst Christian believers who are in one accord (Ps.133:1-3; Acts 2:1 KJV) has the potential to bring a great revival in our midst and a change to people's lives (John 16:14,23-25,29,32;17:2-4,6-8,9-12,15,17,19). In John 17:21-26 Jesus tells us that a measure of the glory that exists in the Godhead is made available to us when we are of one accord in Christ Jesus. When that happens, people believe and revival happens!
2. The prophetic word of God is not dead, it has the potential to bring radical change. Ezekiel 37:4-5 reads: 'Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.''' These words are spoken directly to the nation of Israel (Ez.37:11) and they have relevance to them in the latter days of this Age (Joel 2:28-32). However, they have relevance to us too for the placing of His Spirit within us is relevant to both Jew (Ez.37:14) and Gentile (Acts 1:8).
