'AT HANKELOW' AN EVENING OF PRAISE & FELLOWSHIP, TESTIMONIES & PRAYER
First Friday of Each Month
7pm - 10pm
NEXT MEETING:
Friday, 6th Feb 2026, 7.00pm
Topic: 'Fruitfulness in Mission - Unstopping the wells of God'
GUEST SPEAKER: MARTIN WOODHALL
About our Speaker:
Martin will lead us through some of the signs to look for in the Old Testament which identify God’s work through the Holy Spirit. God makes revival available, but whether we facilitate or inhibit God depends upon our discipleship, leadership, and hard work. What factors have promoted revival, and what have inhibited it? How can we learn to translate this into our own ministry?
Martin grew up in Wolverhampton, coming to Christ as a teenager in an Anglican youth group. His understanding of discipleship was greatly influenced by City Road Methodist Church during his time as a student in Birmingham. He spent his working career in the food manufacturing industry, and moved to Wrexham in 1989, where he lives with his wife Eileen. God provided contacts in Romania through Christmas shoe boxes in 1995 and 1996; who grew into leadership teams for evangelism. Giving up full-time work in 2001 he established the UK charity Reach 2 Romania www.reach2romania.org.uk This provides resources to mission teams in Romania. A key aim is empowerment through a living faith in the Lord Jesus.
Strengthened in faith through his experience on Romania, Martin became a Methodist local preacher in 2014, and continues with a busy preaching schedule in Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal and URC churches – wherever he is welcome.
