THE FILLING STATION (SOUTH CHESHIRE & BORDERS)
Invite you to a
THEMED EVENT
FRIDAY 6th NOVEMBER 2026, 7.00PM
At: The Chapel Hall & Community Rooms, Hankelow, Nr Audlem, Crewe, Cheshire CW3 0JN
GUEST SPEAKER / SINGER-SONGWRITER: ROGER TOYE
TITLE OF EVENT: 'CALL TO ISRAEL, BOOTS ON THE GROUND, AND THE CALLING TO US AS CHRISTIANS'
Background to event / About our speaker:
Published in 1744, Charles Wesley's hymn 'Come thou long expected Jesus' includes the famous line 'Israel's strength and consolation, hope of all the earth thou art' (often quoted as 'Israel's hope and consolation').
Today, Israel is central to the geo-politics of Middle East. As Christians, how are we to pray and what is our 'hope and consolation' on the matter?
Singer-songwriter Roger Toye has lived in Israel and the Gulf States of the Middle East. There he engaged with their communities and had opportunity to sing and lead Christian praise and worship.
Come along this evening to hear Roger's story and hear songs that will link you into his journey in those lands.
